The Connoisseur Gallery Inc. in Bedminster Congratulates Artist Rhoda Yanow

April 8, 2015 -- Bedminster, NJ -- The Connoisseur Gallery is proud to announce that Rhoda Yanow, received Honorable Mention. The Philadelphia Water Color Society was founded in 1900 to offset the then common exhibition prejudice against watercolor. Chartered in 1922 as a corporation, it continued its mission of furthering works on paper (including all water media, pastel, charcoal, pencil, and hand pulled prints) by offering artists the opportunities to exhibit, and to offer the public a chance to learn about these media through professionally juried exhibitions.

Rhoda Yanow, PSA - Rhoda, a New Jersey native, is a widely exhibited National and International artist. After years of study she completed her art education at the Parsons School of Design and the National Academy of Design in New York City. Ms. Yanow has extensive teaching experience including DuCret School of the Arts, Pastel Society of America, the Newark Museum, the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, private classes and workshops. She has been a member of the Jury for selection of awards for many National and International Shows.

The Connoisseur was founded 44 years ago in Bernardsville, NJ by Phil Fico, now celebrating its 45th year in Bedminster, NJ. We represent contemporary artists Rhoda Yanow, PSA., Tracy Pollock, Anna Wainright, PSA., and Susan Blubaugh. With a history specializing in 19th – early 20th century American art.
