The Somerset County offices on Grove Street will have extended hours, from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday for anyone still looking to register. There will be no local race in this year's primary in both Bernardsville and Bedminster. In Bernardsville, Republican incumbents Janet Waite and Chris Schmidt have filed to run. . In Bedminster, incumbent Republican council members Bernard Pane and Staci Santucci have filed. They will be challenged by Democrats Basil Scaperdas and Laura Riley. Independent candidates have until 4 p.m. June 4 to file nominating petitions to be on the November ballot.
