Driver Stopped On Wrong Side Of Bedminster Road, Arrested For DUI
A mailbox was also reportedly ripped out of the ground in front of a Bedminster home, police report.

BEDMINSTER, NJ — A driver was arrested for driving under the influence on Independence Day after being on the wrong side of the road in Bedminster.
On July 4 at 11:25 p.m., Bedminster Police initiated a motor vehicle stop on a black Nissan Sentra on Route 202/206 south of Wynnewood Road.
Prior to stopping the vehicle the officer was traveling northbound on Route 202/206 and came to a stop for the traffic light at the Hills Drive intersection. While stopped the officer observed the vehicle stopped on the wrong side of the double yellow lines coming from the Hills Drive jug handle, police report.

The vehicle proceeded to turn northbound on Route 202/206 after the traffic signal turned red. The officer immediately got behind the vehicle and activated the emergency lights, the vehicle continued driving at a slow speed with the siren activated, police report.
The vehicle came to a stop .3 miles north of the Hills Drive intersection. Subsequent to the motor vehicle stop, Viktoryia Strylets, 28 of Brooklyn, New York was arrested for DUI, failure to maintain lane, careless driving, reckless driving and failure to pull over for emergency vehicle, police report.

On July 2 at 2:24 p.m.: Bedminster Police responded to a residence on River Road for a report of damage to a mailbox. The homeowner advised between 6 p.m. on June 29 and 1 p.m. on June 30 someone pulled his mailbox post out of the ground with the mailbox attached. The black metal mailbox was damaged, but the post was undamaged. The mailbox and post were located in the bushes across the street. The estimated damage is less than $100.
On July 8 at approximately 6:34 p.m.: Bedminster Police observed a Black Nissan Maxima driving on Route 206 northbound in the area of Somerset Financial Drive with an obstructed front window because of an air freshener and a multi colored bandana hanging from the rear view mirror. The driver and passenger side windows were also obstructed from tint. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Route 206 northbound in front of Quick Chek. Subsequent to the investigation, Anthony Lebron, 24 of Ridgewood, New York was arrested for possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. Lebron was also issued motor vehicle summonses for obstruction of windshield for vision and operation of motor vehicle while in possession of CDS. Lebron was also found to have a warrant out of Montville for $1,000, he was unable to post and was turned over to Montville Police.
