Drug, Warrants Arrests Made By Bedminster Police
Bedminster Police report charging four people recently with possession of marijuana.
BEDMINSTER, NJ — Bedminster Police reported making arrests on charges of marijuana possession and outstanding warrants recently.
Bedminster Police blotter:
On April 16 at about 2:28 a.m.: Bedminster Police observed a red Nissan Altima traveling on Route 202/206 southbound with an obstructed front windshield due to tint. The officer caught up to the vehicle and witnessed the vehicle cross over the solid white lane markings and not use a turn signal until halfway through the lane change. A motor vehicle stop was conducted in I-287 southbound in the area of mile marker 22. Subsequent to the investigation, the passenger, Patrice Nelson, 22 of Newark, was arrested for a warrant out of Evesham Township for $750. Nelson was unable to post bail and was released on her own recognizance.

On April 18 at 6:06 p.m.: Bedminster Police responded to Ray Court for a report of stolen property. Upon arrival the officer spoke with the resident who advised that a set of four Bell + Howell solar disk lights worth $20 were taken from her front lawn.
On April 18 at about 11:30 p.m.: Bedminster Police observed a grey Hyundai Sonata with a New York registration traveling on Route 202/206 southbound fail to give a proper signal while changing lanes and a traffic on marked lanes violation. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on I-287 southbound in the area of mile marker 22. Subsequent to the investigation, the passenger, Sekou Tabb, 27, of Brooklyn, New York was arrested for a warrant out of Bedminster for $89 and possession of controlled dangerous substance(CDS) marijuana under 50 grams. Tabb posted bail and was released.

On April 19 at 8:20 p.m.: Bedminster Police initiated a motor vehicle stop on a white Mitsubishi Lancer with a Pennsylvania registration on Route 206 at the Peapack Sunoco. Prior to the stop, the officer observed the front seat passenger throw a lit cigarette from the vehicle. Subsequent to the investigation, Jennifer Baxter, 34, of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania was arrested for a warrant out of Knowlton for $500. Baxter was unable to post and was released on her own recognizance with a summons for driving while drivers license / registration suspended / revoked.
On April 20 at about 8:32 p.m.: Bedminster Police observed a black Nissan Sentra traveling on Route 202/206 northbound in the area of the Route 202/206 split with an obstructed front windshield due to a phone GPS being mounted to the front window. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Route 206 northbound in the area of Somerset Financial Drive. Subsequent to the investigation, the passenger Elisha Johnson-Lawrence, 30, of Irvington was arrested on a warrant out of Irvington for $500. She posted bail and was released with a summons for littering from a motor vehicle. The driver, Kenya Johnson, 26, of Newark was issued motor vehicle summonses for driving while driver's license / registration suspended / revoked and obstruction of front windshield for vision.
On April 21 at about 2:26 a.m.: Bedminster Police observed a white Mercedes CLS550 traveling on Route 206 southbound with an obstructed windshield due to tint. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Route 206 southbound in the area of Somerset Financial Drive. Subsequent to the investigation, the passenger, Chriss Reyes, 21 of Brooklyn, New York was arrested for possession of controlled dangerous substance(CDS) marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On April 21 at about 11:44 p.m.: Bedminster Police observed a green Honda SUV with a Pennsylvania registration traveling on Route 202/206 southbound with an obstructed windshield due to numerous items hanging from the rear view mirror and an unclear rear license plate. Subsequent to the investigation, the passenger, Watkeem Gumbs, 18, of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania was arrested for possession of controlled dangerous substance(CDS) marijuana under 50 grams. The driver, Joevanny Martines, 19, of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania was issued motor vehicle summonses for obstruction of windshield for vision, improper display / unclear plates, operation of motor vehicle while in possession of CDS and failure to possess driver's license or registration.
