Experience Chair Yoga with Julie Shaw at Bernardsville Library

Postures of chair yoga are adaptations of traditional yoga poses which offer increased strength, flexibility, body and breath awareness.

Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair or standing using a chair for support. Come to Bernardsville Public Library on Thursday, July 7 at 10:30 am to try it under the direction of Julie Shaw, a certified yoga teacher and therapist in the Viniyoga tradition.

The postures of chair yoga are adaptations of traditional yoga poses which offer increased strength, flexibility, body and breath awareness, and overall vitality. This chair yoga class is open to everyone, and no prior yoga experience is required.

Julie Shaw has more than 25 years' experience practicing, studying and teaching yoga. Her classes are for everybody and every experience level, integrating breath, movement and awareness in the service of greater self-knowledge.
Ms. Shaw's intention is to offer others what she has found herself in the practice of yoga – a system for pulling together the myriad aspects of life (body, mind, work, family, spirit, etc.) and living in a way that fulfills one’s deepest intentions and convictions.
