Fascia: What is That?
Sarah Borda, Myofascial Release Therapist, will discuss the physics of fascia, the tissue which connects every part of the body to another.

If you suffer from acute or chronic pain, from inflammation or trauma, come to this program at Bernardsville Public Library on Tuesday, February 23 at 7:00 pm to find out what fascia is and how myofascial release therapy could help. Sarah Borda, a licensed Myofascial Release Therapist, will enlighten listeners on the physics and mysteries of their fascial systems. She will discuss how to take better care of your fascia--the tissue which forms beneath the skin connecting every part of the body to another. “Myofascial restrictions,” she says, “can be produced by trauma, repetitive motion, or emotional distress and can then be the cause of chronic pain and many diseases.” During this program, attendees will learn how myofascial release therapy can help people improve their ability to function during normal activities such as sitting, walking, standing and driving as well as reduce pain and restore motion.
Ms. Borda, who lives in Chester, is a licensed healthcare practitioner who specializes in myofascial release and also incorporates other physical modalities such as massage and energy therapy in treating her patients.
There is no charge to attend this program; advance registration is requested at www.bernardsvillelibrary.org, or call the library at 908-766-0118 to sign up.
