The screenings will take place on Wednesday, July 15, and Thursday, July 16, at the Fellowship Village Wellness Center, 8000 Fellowship Road in Basking Ridge. The screenings include a confidential, full-body skin examination performed by a board-certified dermatologist to help detect skin cancer, including melanoma, at an early stage. The program is open to adults ages 18 and older who have never attended a Bernards Township skin cancer screening and are not currently under the care of a dermatologist. Appointments are required. Residents can schedule a screening by calling Tara at 908-204-2069 or Jackie at 908-204-3068. A suggested donation of $20 is requested to support the program. Health officials encourage eligible residents to participate, noting that early detection is one of the most effective tools in identifying and treating skin cancer.
