A fight broke out between a gas station attendant and a customer in Bedminster: blotter

BEDMINSTER, NJ — An unlocked car was burglarized and a gas station attendant and a customer got into a fight last week in Bedminster, according to the police blotter.

On Oct. 11 at approximately 11:28 a.m.: Bedminster Police responded to Ski Hill Drive for a report of a motor vehicle burglary which took place sometime in the evening. The homeowner advised his vehicle was unlocked and when approaching it in the morning he noticed the door was partially opened. Papers were scattered all over the front of the vehicle. The homeowners advised that three checks were taken that were inside the vehicle. The homeowner believed this may have occurred around 3:30 a.m. due to his dogs acting excitedly about something outside.

On Oct. 16 at 7:56 p.m.: Bedminster Police responded to Tiger Claw Exxon (1432 Rte 202/206) for a report of a fight. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with employee, Manjit Singh, age 32 of Iselin who pointed to the male who he got into an altercation with. The officer approached, Diego Rodriguez, age 44 of Indianapolis, IN who advised Singh was taking a while to get to the gas pump which made him frustrated. He stated that they exchanged words and Diego got out of his vehicle and pushed Singh away from him because he felt he was in his personal space. When Singh was pushed, he was holding the gas nozzle in his hand and gas got all over both parties and the ground in the immediate area (less than a gallon). Rodriguez was apologetic and both parties shook hands, no further action.
