HICKORY TREE CHORUS ANNOUNCES $1000 SCHOLARSHIP

Each year  Hickory Tree Chorus awards a  $1,000 Scholarship to an area high school senior woman who intends to pursue a career in vocal music, selected on the basis of her application and her vocal musical talent. 2014 applications are now being accepted. Qualified high school senior girls with good academic records and exceptional talent in vocal music are encouraged to apply. Students should also have applied for acceptance into a music program at a college or university. Applicants must submit an application, a CD which should include at least two vocal performances, demonstrating her particular talent, and post a short personal unlisted Youtube presentation. CD’s may include accompaniment, as needed. Music Educators please encourage your students who have exceptional talent to apply. Applications have been sent to high school guidance departments in more than 50 communities in the New Jersey area.
