Identity Fraud, Suspicious Incident Reported In Bedminster
A suspicious incident involving two Hispanic males and identity fraud were both reported last week in Bedminster: police

BEDMINSTER, NJ — A suspicious incident involving two Hispanic males and identity fraud were both reported last week in Bedminster, according to police.
Bedminster Police Blotter:
On Oct. 6 at approximately 10:11 a.m.: A resident of Pottersville Road responded to headquarters to report a suspicious incident that occurred on Oct. 5 at approximately 5 p.m. The resident stated that after returning home from errand two Hispanic males rang the bell at her front gate requesting to be let in to speak to the people renting the apartment on her property. The homeowner was not advised of any scheduled visits and refused to let the males in or answer any of their questions. The males left and the homeowner spoke with the tenants who advised they were not expecting anyone nor did they know any Spanish speaking males. The complainant did not have any further descriptions as to the males or the vehicle they were driving.

On Oct. 7 at approximately 11:55 a.m.: A resident of Edgewood Road responded to headquarters to file an identity theft report. The resident stated while in the process of re-financing her mortgage her credit report check displayed a collection notice dating back to February of this year. The resident called the collection agency to dispute the charges and they advised that the charge was from out of state and advised her to file a police report. The resident was advised to call all six of her credit card accounts and verify there was no other fraudulent charges being made.
