Lenten Series Continues at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church
40 Days- What Might God Do in Your Life?
40 Days, that is the length of the season of Lent, it is also the name of our Lenten Series. This Lent both sermons and a midweek potluck will focus on the themes suggested by 40 days in the Bible. The sermons will draw us into the Word and into worship, while the midweek gatherings will afford time to delve more deeply and broadly into the topic. Our Tuesday Evening faculty will include the Rev. Dr. Gordon Graham of Princeton Theological Seminary, Richard Somerset-Ward, and Dr. Kent Walley, St. Luke’s rector. On Tuesdays we will gather at 6:30 pm for the potluck dinner and fellowship. The presentations will start at 7:15 pm and everything will be done by 8:30 pm. The topics are:
Week of Sunday, February 25th- 40 Days of Calamity- Trusting God in Times of Natural Disaster
Week of Sunday, March 4th- 40 Days of Uncertainty – Listening for God When God Seems Distant
Week of Sunday, March 11th- 40 Days of Transformation – Turning from Hindrances to the Life with God
Week of Sunday, March 18th-40 Days of Renewal – Empowered by Christ to Shine in the World
