The 63rd Annual Pottersville Antique Show extends its traditional country welcome Thursday, July 28 through Saturday, July 30.

The 63rd Annual Pottersville Antique Show extends its traditional country welcome Thursday, July 28 through Saturday, July 30. This summer, visitors will enjoy live music every evening along with their delicious home cooked dinners.

Adrian Turner, a member of the Pottersville Volunteer Fire Company, will play 6-string and 12-string acoustic guitar on Thursday night. Turner is an accomplished fingerstyle guitarist and will play songs by Leo Kottke and John Fahey.

Joe Janci performs Friday, July 29. Janci, with three CDs to his credit, plays his own songs and fondly remembered tunes from the sixties.

On Saturday night, local favorite Gordon Thomas Ward will entertain with guitar and song. Ward is a DJ on WDVR, 89.7 FM and is known throughout the area for his music and thought-provoking lectures and books. You can learn more about Gordon at www.gordonthomasward.com

The Pottersville Antique show is a cherished annual event with a spirit of community and volunteerism unique to this special community. Multiple generations of families come to enjoy the wonderful food and special feeling of camaraderie, and many have been attending for as long as they can remember.

You can find great bargains on useful and collectible items from 30 antiques dealers in the red Firehouse and the adjacent historic School House. Choose from pottery, textiles, prints, postcards, posters, jewelry of all kinds, porcelain, furniture, clocks, and vintage home furnishings. Appraisers are available from 1 pm to 5 pm daily to value items brought in by show patrons for $5 per item.

Delicious meals are served under the big tent and in the firehouse engine barn. Lunch is available from 11:30 am until 2 pm daily and includes a variety of sandwiches ranging from Fireman’s Burgers, tuna salad, and BLT’s to hot dogs and veggie burgers. A buffet style dinner is served 5 pm to 8 pm. Thursday’s night is Smithfield roast ham with raisin sauce. On Friday, enjoy rounds of roast beef au jus and on Saturday, it’s Thanksgiving in the summer with breast of turkey with sausage stuffing, mashed potatoes and green beans. Desserts feature homemade cakes, ice cream, and freshly sliced peaches from Melick’s Town Farm Prices: Adult $20, senior $19 and child under 10 years $10. Refreshments are available all day.

The Pottersville Antique Show is located at 4 Hacklebarney Road, Pottersville, NJ 07979 and is at the intersection of Fairmount Road East (Route 512), Pottersville Road and Black River Road at the Pottersville Fire House and School House. General admission to the show is $6.00 per person. Parking is free.
