Manville Man Arrested For DUI, Drinking Alcohol In Car: Bedminster Police

Ricky Soper, 51, of Manville was also charged with numerous offenses, including having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in a car.

BEDMINSTER, NJ — A Manville man was arrested in Bedminster last week for driving under the influence and numerous other charges, police report.

On June 14 at 10:44 a.m., Bedminster Police responded to the area of Route 206 and Lamington Road for a report of a blue Ford F150 traveling at a high rate of speed southbound on Route 206.

A motor vehicle stop was conducted on I-287 south at mile marker 21.6.

Subsequent to the investigation, Ricky Soper, 51, of Manville was arrested for 39:4-50 (driving under the influence) and issued motor vehicle summonses for 39:4-97 (careless driving), 39:4-96 (reckless driving), 39:4-85 (improper passing), 39:4-51A (open container of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle), 39:4-51B (consumption of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle) and 39:3-74 (obstructed windshield for vision), Bedminster Police report.
