MIGRATING MONARCHS at Scherman Hoffman

Join Teacher Naturalist, Dorothy Smullen, on Saturday, September 19th at 2 - 4pm for this interesting program all about Monarch butterflies.

The incredible migrating journey of the Monarch Butterfly and its life cycle will be shown in a power point program. Learn to recognize the host plant for the caterpillars – the common milkweed. Examples of native nectar plants for your garden will be explored. We’ll take a walk in the fields at Scherman Hoffman in hopes of spotting a Monarch and other butterflies. Class limit is 15. Preregister by calling 908-766-5787.

Cost: $7 members; $12 nonmembers.
