Nutrition for Optimal Health

Learn about the body's ability to fight disease and maintain health by utilizing compounds found in everyday whole, plant-based foods.

Join Jeanne Petrucci, MS, RDN, and founder of Living Plate Nutrition Education and Counseling Center in Far Hills, to explore “Nutrition for Optimal Health” on Tuesday, March 8 at 6:30 pm at Bernardsville Public Library. Her program will include an educational and interactive workshop followed by a cooking demonstration and tasting.

Listeners will learn about the body’s ability to fight disease and maintain health by utilizing compounds found in everyday whole, plant-based foods. The presentation will focus on the tenets of disease prevention: protecting and repairing cells, normalizing hormones, and boosting immunity. These principles are relevant to many chronic diseases and are applicable to all stages of life.

Living Plate is an innovative nutritional approach that combines personalized dietetic counseling with hands-on cooking instruction. Ms. Petrucci, a resident of Peapack, received her Master of Science degree in nutrition education from Columbia University and completed her supervised clinical practice at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. She has been a private cooking instructor for over 20 years.
