"My name is Oona Baus, I reside in Bernardsville with my mom and dad. We have lived here for 15 years, and I'm a real lucky dog for a couple of reasons. Mom always says, if she had to choose anywhere in NJ to live it would be our house. We can walk right down our street and access a hiking trail , part of Jockey Hollow National Park. Actually there is more than one hiking trail right in walking distance from our home. Mom and I go for at least 3 mile hikes, at least 4 times per week. I am a female German Shepherd Dog, 7 years of age, and I'm always up to for anything. I like staying busy, if I'm not exercising or training with mom I can be a real pain around the house. I am full of energy, always paying attention to my surroundings, and super intelligent.

Fortunately for me, my mom is a professional dog trainer, and has spent her life in the pet care industry. A total bonus! We are constantly together. I take care of her and she takes good care of me. She has taught me to do several basic obedience behaviors, tricks, agility, you name it. My absolute favorite thing to do is swim and splash in the water! Mom and dad take me everywhere to go swimming, the beach, pools, reservoirs, lakes, ponds, I'll even take a puddle. Oh and our baby pool in the yard too. Another reason why it is so great around here, everywhere we go for walks, there is a place for me to take a dip, or a splash. There are waterfalls, and streams all around where we live. Life is great for this dog."
