Paintings by James Cusmano on Exhibit in July at Bernardsville Library
Bernardsville Public Library presents an exhibition of paintings by NJ artist James Cusmano during the month of July.

Bernardsville Public Library is pleased to present an exhibition of paintings by James Cusmano during the month of July. The opening reception, which is open to the public, will be held on Thursday, July 9 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
Mr. Cusmano says of his work, “I strive to create images of beauty inspired by the amazing colors, textures and compositions found all around us in nature. My goal is to stimulate and elevate the human spirit.”
James Cusmano is a native New Jersey artist. He works predominantly in painting mediums including oils, watercolor, mono prints, pastels, and ceramic tile designs, and he maintains a longstanding passion for transparent French dyes on China silk used to create his nature-themed paintings.

Cusmano received his degree in Fine Art and Design from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY and later pursued specialty studies at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan and the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey (VACNJ) in Summit. He has taught silk painting at VACNJ and the Center for Contemporary Art in Bedminster. With his wife Christine, he owned and operated a successful art and framing gallery for over ten years. During this period, he created numerous corporate and private pieces. He lives in Long Valley, NJ.
The show will be on view from Monday, June 29 through Wednesday, July 29 in the library’s Community Room, during regular library hours, unless a meeting is in progress. For further information, please call the library at 908-766-0118.
