President Trump To Arrive In Bedminster Friday

BEDMINSTER, NJ — President Donald Trump will be arriving in Bedminster Friday for the weekend. This will be his first visit this year back to his golf course.

Trump's schedule stated he and First Lady Melania Trump will be leaving the White House to Joint Base Andrews, where they will fly to Morristown.

They are expected to arrive at Morristown Municipal Airport at 5:10 p.m. before leaving by air to the Bedminster Landing Zone at Trump National Golf Club.

He is expected to arrive at his golf course at 900 Lamington Rd. at 5:30 p.m. He will remain in Bedminster through Sunday, July 1.

The Federal Aviation Administration issued a VIP Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) in the area of Bedminster and Morristown from Friday through Monday, July 1.

Specifically the restrictions were placed on Morristown Municipal Airport and the Bedminster and Morristown areas.

Federal funds needed to cover costs for providing presidential protection whenever Trump flies into town will be issued to Somerset County and Bedminster following a grant program secured by Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07) and Somerset County Prosecutor Michael Robertson.

The president's visit to Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster in November 2016 cost the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office almost $18,000 for 208 hours of overtime. And more than 100 hours of overtime for the Bedminster Police cost close to $4,000.
