Protesters To Rally As President Trump Expected In Bedminster
Somerset County Democrats and other grassroots organizations to protest President Donald Trump's border policies on Saturday.

BEDMINSTER, NJ — With President Donald Trump expected to be in Bedminster this weekend, protesters are planning a rally on Saturday as part of the National Day of Action “Families Belong Together.”
The Somerset County Democratic Committee will be joining forces with local grassroots organizations, elected officials, local clergy and others to rally just down the road from Trump National Golf Club. The protesters will meet at the Clarence Dillon Public Library located at 2336 Lamington Road in Bedminster.
The SCDC condemned the “unjust and un-American” practice of separating families who are illegally coming into the United States in a statement released last week.

“Never in my lifetime did I imagine we would see such disregard for human values from an American President,” SCDC Chairwoman Peg Schaffer said. “We hope many local Somerset residents will join us on Saturday to speak out against the Trump administration as we add our voices to the millions who are expected to protest nationwide.”
Hundreds of people are expected to attend the rally which will begin at 10:30 a.m. Those planning to attend are asked not to park in the library’s parking lot and instead park on Clucas Brook Road, the access road to the side of the library off Lamington.
