Rain Could Impact Benards High School Graduation

There is a possibility that the district could move the outdoor ceremony by 30 minutes and also indoors on Wednesday.

BERNARDSVILLE, NJ — The Benards High School graduation is set for Wednesday night however, inclement weather may impact the time and location of the ceremony.

The National Weather Service is reporting a chance of showers on Wednesday, mainly between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. Currently the graduation ceremony is set for 7 to 8:30 p.m.

The Somerset Hills School District sent out a message for all families of graduating students letting them know they are monitoring the potential for inclement weather.

If there is bad weather, there is a possibility that the district could move the outdoor ceremony earlier or later by a maximum of 30 minutes. There is also a chance the district would be forced to move the ceremony indoors.

"We will make and communicate a decision on the time and location of the ceremony on Wednesday during late afternoon, but we want families to be prepared for possible changes," the district stated.
