Rash Of Break-Ins To Unlocked Vehicles Reported In Far Hills
The thefts are occurring in the rural areas of Far Hills near the Peapack Gladstone and Bernardsville borders.

FAR HILLS, NJ — A rash of break-ins to unlocked vehicles are being reported in Far Hills near the Peapack Gladstone and Bernardsville borders, Far Hills Police Chief Michael DeCarolis said.
"There have been multiple reports of vehicle break ins the more rural sections of the Borough on or about Jan. 24," DeCarolis told Patch. "Victims are not aware of any missing items at this time."
Police sent out an alert to residents warning them of the investigation into the thefts and also a reminder to lock vehicles.

"Don’t leave the doors of your car or truck unlocked," police stated in the alert. "If you do, you are inviting a theft from your vehicle."
