Ravioli Making and Tasting at Bernardsville Library
Diane DePalma of Ravino Handcrafted Artisan Pasta will describe and demonstrate what's involved with making ravioli at home.

The month of October has been dedicated to One Book Bernardsville at Bernardsville Public Library—an examination of the book by Laura Schenone, “The Lost Ravioli Recipes of Hoboken,” and of Italian families in the borough, Italian music, food and drink. On Saturday, October 24 at 3:00 pm, Diane DePalma of Ravino Handcrafted Artisan Pasta will describe and demonstrate what’s involved with making ravioli at home—what utensils are needed, what’s important in making the dough, and how to fill it successfully. This will be followed by a ravioli tasting.
Ravino Handcrafted Artisan Pasta is a family owned business specializing in hand-made ravioli and pasta. “Our products are a marriage between traditional Italian cooking methods and modern flavors that create a truly one of a kind product,” says Ms. DePalma. “We set our ravioli apart by creating a filling composed primarily of fresh, seasonal, local produce. Cheese is used only to highlight the natural flavors of the ingredients, making our product a nutritious choice.”
There is no charge to attend the demonstration, but advance sign-up is requested. Register online at www.bernardsvillelibrary.org and follow the link from Adult Programs, or call the library at 908-766-0118 to sign up.
