BERNARDSVILLE/BEDMINSTER, NJ — Democrat Tom Malinowski won in a very close race on Tuesday, defeating Republican five-time incumbent Leonard Lance for the House of Representatives District 7 seat in New Jersey, according to news projections.

The Washington Post and The Associated Press called the race at 11:30 p.m. Malinowski had 136,993, or 50.3 percent, to 48.2 percent for Lance, who had 131,149 with 96 percent of the precincts reporting. (See Related: Democrat Malinowski Unseats Republican Incumbent Lance In NJ 7th)

Here's a break down district-by-district of how people in Bedminster and Bernardsville voted in the Congressional District 7 race.

Overall Bedminster had a tie with the same amount of total votes for Lance and Malinowski with 1,979 votes each. Whereas, in Bernardsville Lance was favored slightly with 1,865 total votes over Malinowski with 1,746 votes.
