Somerset Co. Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Day Set For Saturday
The free event runs June 13 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the South County Public Works Garage on Roycefield Road.
SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — Somerset County homeowners and farmers looking to safely dispose of household hazardous waste have a free opportunity this weekend.
The 2026 Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Day takes place Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the South County Public Works Garage, 410 Roycefield Road, Hillsborough. Accepted materials include propane tanks, fire extinguishers, fluorescent bulbs, oil-based paints, gasoline, kerosene, pool chemicals, pesticides, and more — as long as they are in their original, labeled containers.
Proof of Somerset County residency is required to participate. Commercial vehicles will not be accepted.

The next drop-off event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Branchburg Township Public Works Garage, 34 Kenbury Road, Branchburg.
