Somerset County's Teacher Of The Year Is...

NJEA announces best of the best from each county in the Garden State.

Bedminster, NJ -- Keith Schoch is representing his home county well this month.

The Hillsborough Township native and sixth-grade English teacher at Bedminster Township School in the Bedminster Township School District has been named by the New Jersey Education Association as one of its 21 county teachers of the year for 2016-17.

Schoch is married to Lisa and has two daughters, Casey and Mackenzie.

He has previously taught fourth grade for 13 years after teaching third grade for nine years, the first two at a small private school in Jersey City. He completed a Masters Degree in Instruction and Curriculum at Kean College, and have since done postgraduate work in specialty areas such as cooperative learning, motivation, and math and science. I have also completed extensive coursework in a second Masters program in Educational Administration, according to his profile on Bedminster Township School's website.

In 2013, he was also the winner of the State of New Jersey Department of Education 2012 Exemplary Educator Award.
