Support The Volunteer Far Hills-Bedminster Firefighters
Donations help to support training, equipment, and more for their operation.

FAR HILLS/BEDMINSTER, NJ — Every year the Far Hills-Bedminster Fire Department runs its annual fund drive to raise donations to support training, equipment, and more for their operation.
Below is a letter from the volunteer fire company:
Dear Residents and Business Owners of Far Hills and Bedminster,
Who is the Far Hills-Bedminster Fire Department? There are probably many perceptions of who we are. You may think that we are career firefighters and are paid to be ready to respond. Fortunately, as fire prevention and code enforcement have worked to reduce the number of emergencies that we experience in our homes, very few residents are forced to 911. There is a large portion of our community who may see us at the Memorial Day Parade, Bedminster's Fall Fest or other community events but luckily never see us during an emergency.
Our Department is completely volunteer. We have existed for 122 years serving the Borough of Far Hills and Township of Bedminster. Our members reside and work in the community, own a business, and attend local schools. You may have seen some of these people in our community with the pagers on their side ready at any time to respond to an emergency.
We respond 24 hours a day 7 days a week to any emergency that our community experiences. This includes structural fires, grass and brush fires, flooding, carbon monoxide responses, and various other situations. When serious storms hit our area, our members respond to down power lines and calls for assistance. We also respond to motor vehicle accidents on two major interstate highways and assist our local Emergency Squad when they need it. These responses account for more than 500 calls each year.
We need your support! As a Fire Department, our organization receives minimal funding from both the Borough of Far hills and Township of Bedminster, which makes your past generous donations important to us. Your donation helps to maintain our fire tricks, purchase important equipment, provide the necessary training for our members and offset the day-to-day expenses the department experiences. If you are able to send a donation, know that we are a Not for Profit organization and your donation is tax deductible. Your check will serve as a receipt. Please ask your employer about matching your donation.
As in the past, we thank you for your donation and look forward to assisting you in any manner. Should you have the time and the desire to join our ranks we would be privileged to have you apply and become a member.
Sincerely,
The Officers and the Members of the Far Hills-Bedminster Fire Department
