People practice Qigong and Tai Chi to maintain health, promote healing, and integrate their body, mind, and spirit. Daily practice is believed to create a balanced lifestyle of greater harmony, stability, and enjoyment. To learn more, come to Bernardsville Public Library on Tuesday, August 8 at 7:00 pm when Basking Ridge resident Poornima Paranjpe, a certified Qigong and Tai Chi Easy™ Practice Leader, will lead a 60-minute class demonstrating how to improve strength, coordination, conditioning, and mental well-being as well as reduce stress. The program will include a talk and audience participation.
The great appeal of Tai Chi and Qigong, says Ms. Paranjpe, is that "everyone can benefit, regardless of ability, age, belief system, or life circumstances. It is a healing program for seniors who can improve balance and agility; for students who can improve physical and mental well-being; and for those in the workplace to help improve work-life balance for overall wellness.”
There is no charge to attend the program, but advance sign-up is requested. Register online at www.bernardsvillelibrary.org and follow the link from Adult Programs, or call the library at 908-766-0118 to sign up.
