Tiferet Journal Poets to Appear at Bernardsville Public Library
Ten New Jersey poets whose work has appeared in Tiferet Journal will read from the publication and their other works. Followed by open mic.

Celebrating the sharing spirit of National Poetry Month and continuing a popular poetry series, ten New Jersey poets whose work has appeared in Tiferet Journal, will read from the publication and their other works on Sunday, April 24 at 2:00 pm at Bernardsville Public Library. A reception and open mic reading will follow the featured readers.
“We are truly honored to sponsor this reading and to continue to connect the journal’s fine works and its poets with the public at different sites," said Donna Baier Stein, a Bernardsville resident who founded Tiferet Journal in 2005, "We will celebrate National Poetry Month and welcome spring in a setting already dedicated to appreciation of the written word.”
Guest poets, all New Jersey residents, who will read are Laura Boss (Florham Park), Robert Carnevale (Lafayette), Charles H. Johnson (Hillsborough), Adele Kenny (Fanwood), Deborah LaVeglia (Cranford), Diane Lockward (West Caldwell), John McDermott (Cranford), Ken Ronkowitz (Cedar Grove), Donna Baier Stein (Bernardsville), and Chuck Tripi (Lake Mohawk).

The Academy of American Poets established April as National Poetry Month in 1996. According to poets.org, the goal is “to widen the attention of individuals and the media to the art of poetry, to living poets, to our complex poetic heritage, and to poetry books and journals of wide aesthetic range and concern.”
