Tire Slashed, Fraud Reported in Bedminster

Bedminster Police blotter includes criminal mischief, credit card fraud, suspicious incident and a warrant arrest.

BEDMINSTER, NJ — A tire was reportedly slashed and a resident reported someone took out more than $1,000 from her savings account without her permission last week, according to police.

Bedminster Police Blotter:

On Oct. 24 at 7:08 p.m.: Bedminster Police was dispatched to Village Green Road for a report of criminal mischief. Upon arrival the officer made contact with the complainant who was by his vehicle in the parking lot. The complainant advised he parked his Jeep Grand Cherokee in the parking lot on Sage Court on Oct. 23 between 10:30 and 11 p.m. At 6 a.m. on Oct. 24 the complainant noticed that his passenger’s side tire was flat and it appeared to be punctured by a bladed object on the interior of the wheel.

On Oct. 27 at 3:54 p.m.: A Bedminster resident responded to Police Headquarters to report a fraud. The complainant advised that earlier today she was notified by her bank, Affinity Credit Union, of possible fraudulent activity which occurred to her savings account. Four ATM transactions were made in Baltimore, Maryland which totaled $1,346. She confirmed with her bank that these were fraudulent transactions and they requested a police report.

On Oct. 29 at approximately 12:38 a.m.: Bedminster Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on a Gray BMW for a speeding infraction. Subsequent to the investigation, Terri Muhammad, age 33 of Easton, PA was arrested for a traffic warrant out of Newark for $250. Muhammad posted full bail and was released.

On Oct. 29 at approximately 10:30 a.m.: Bedminster Police responded to Parkside Road for a report of a suspicious motor vehicle. The complainant stated that he believed four men were tampering with the water system and contaminating the water. Upon arrival the officer spoke with the four men who were contractors repairing the sidewalks in the development. They stated they were mixing cement with the water from the fire hydrant in which they received permission from the association to do so. The complainant was advised of same.
