TRAFFIC ALERT: Electrical Fire, Large Branch Hangs On Live Power Lines In Bernardsville
Multiple roads in Bernardsville are closed after a severe thunderstorm brought down large tree branches and caused electrical fires Thursday

Bernardsville, NJ - A severe thunderstorm the ripped through the area has brought down electrical wires and tree branches.
An electrical wire is currently burning in a tree near 100 Roebling Road between Mountaintop Road and Boulderwood Road, Bernardsville Police posted around 4:50 p.m. Thursday, July 14.

Ballatine Road is also closed as a large branch is hanging on live power wires over the road, Bernardsville Police report.
The branch came down after a sever thunderstorm bringing lightning, thunder, heavy rain and wind gusts passed through the area.

Ballantine Road is closed between Mendham Road and Pfizer Road. Pfizer Road is being used as a detour.
Hardscrabble Road is also closed between Lloyd Road and Chestnut Avenue as wires and a tree came down across the road.
Detours are being established.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area.
