Truck Set Ablaze on Mountain Avenue

Bedminster, NJ -- A truck was set on fire on Mountain Court, a Plainfield was arrested for possession of marijuana and other arrests made last week in the township, according to the Bedminster Police blotter.
Warrant Arrest - March 16th: While on a radar detail on Schley Mountain Road, Bedminster Police observed a Volkswagen Passat traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed. Subsequent to the motor vehicle stop, the driver, Stephany Worsthorn, age 25, of Hoboken was arrested for a traffic warrant out of Hoboken for $114 and issued motor vehicle summonses for 39:4-98 (Speeding) and 39:3-33 (Unclear Plates).
Suspicious Persons/Warrant Arrest - March 16th: At approximately 8:51 p.m. on this date Bedminster Police were dispatched to Mountain Court in response to a suspicious incident/persons complaint. The caller advised two Indian males knocked on her door. The homeowner opened the door as the males were leaving, they advised they worked for a mold removal company and realized they were at the wrong address. Upon arrival the homeowner pointed the vehicle, a black Jeep Grand Cherokee, out to the officer. Officers located the individuals at another residence, in which their stories corroborated. Subsequent to the investigation one of the employees of the mold removal company, Zahid Alam, age 36, of Plainsboro was arrested on a traffic warrant out of Rahway for $750.

Vehicle Fire - March 17th: Bedminster Police responded to Mountain Court for a report of a vehicle fire. Upon arrival an ivory 1970 Ford Balboa Camper was engulfed in flames. Contact was made with the owner who advised he accidentally set the truck on fire when he disconnected the fuel line to the carburetor and then turned the ignition over trying to pump all of the gas out from the carburetor. Far Hills-Bedminster Fire Department responded and extinguished fire.
Possession of CDS Paraphernalia - March 18th: At 7:09 p.m. while on patrol of Rte. 202-206 South at River Road, Bedminster Police observed a silver Honda with dark, tinted front windows and a loud, after-market muffler traveling southbound approaching the Rte 287 South entrance ramp. After conducting a motor vehicle stop the officer detected a faint odor of raw marijuana coming from the interior of the vehicle. Subsequent to the investigation, the driver, Willian Dubon-Abrago, age 21, of Plainfield was arrested for 2C:36-2 (Possession of CDS Paraphernalia) and issued motor vehicle summonses for 39:3-75 (Improper Safety Glass), 39:3-70 (Noisy Muffler) and 39:3-72 (Tire Equipment).
