Trump To Attend U.S. Women's Open In Bedminster: Report

Breaking: The FAA issued a VIP Temporary Flight Restriction Monday in the Morristown and Bedminster Township area for July 14 to July 16.

BEDMINSTER, NJ — President Donald Trump will be attending the 2017 U.S. Women's Open in Bedminster this week, according to nj.com.

The Federal Aviation Administration issued a VIP Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) on Monday in the Morristown and Bedminster Township region for July 14 to July 16.

This restriction would affect local fliers who plan to fly out of the local Somerset Airport. When Trump is in town, planes would be grounded because there's a no-fly-zone around any sitting president.

If Trump does appear at the U.S. Open, protesters are expecting to make an appearance. Activists have already showed their disagreement with his association to the event by flying a plane banner on July 1 over the U.S. Senior Open in Peabody, Massachusetts to urge the United States Golf Association and Ladies Professional Golf Association to sever ties with Trump and move the 2017 U.S. Women’s Open from Trump’s Bedminster Golf Course.

The USGA has not confirmed whether Trump would be attending. The White House has not issued an announcement about Trump's plans yet either.
