Two New Police Officers Recently Appointed in Bernardsville

Christopher Santangelo and Christopher Luckenbach are now apart of the Bernardsville Police Department.

On Aug. 8, Bernardsville Chief of Police Kevin Valentine announced that two new officers were appointed as Probationary Police Officers for their department.

Christopher Santangelo, 26, of Belle Mead previously worked as a Special Law Enforcement Officer Class II at the Point Pleasant Beach N.J. Police Department. Santangelo graduated from the Ocean County Police Academy Training Class for Special Law Enforcement Officers. Santangelo also served six years with the N.J. National Guard and is a member of both the Montgomery Twp. and Rocky Hill Fire Departments.

Christopher Luckenbach, 24, of Edison, also used to work as a Special Law Enforcement Officer Class II at the Point Pleasant Beach N.J. Police Department. Luckenbach also served four years with the United States Marine Corps.

With the addition of Santangelo and Luckenbach, Bernardsville Police Department now has 19 officers. Recently, the Police Department had below regular staffing levels because of a recent officer turnover.
