I-287 northbound ramp to Route 202/206 southbound detour:
- Motorists will be directed to take exit 22B to Route 202/Route 206 northbound
- Motorists will need to stay right on Route 202/Route 206 northbound, and take the U-turn exit at River Road onto Route 202/Route 206 southbound
On Monday morning, motorists will be able to use the new realigned ramp from I‑287 northbound to Route 202/Route 206 southbound. The new ramp is designed to eliminate a stop condition at the end of the ramp to provide for continuous traffic flow onto Route 202/206 southbound. This should also reduce potential queuing of traffic on the ramp and onto I-287, NJDOT announced.

"The $24.5 million federally-funded I-287/I-78/Route 202/Route 206 Interchange Improvements project will enhance safety and improve traffic operations between the existing I-287 interchanges with I-78 and Route 202/206," NJDOT stated.
Two new bridges are being constructed over I-287, one over northbound lanes, and another over southbound lanes. The project is expected to be completed in late 2019.
