$10K In Cash Stolen During Bloomfield Home Burglary: Police

About $1,500 worth of watches were also stolen, Bloomfield police said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A Bloomfield resident reported losing $10,000 in cash and $1,500 worth of watches during a home burglary last week, police announced Thursday.

The Bloomfield Police Department released the following statement about the burglary, which took place on May 30:

“Officers responded to the area of Thomas Street on report of a burglary. A resident left his home at 1 p.m. and when he returned at 3:30 p.m. he found his bedroom in disarray. A safe containing $10,000 in cash and various documents was missing. A box from his dresser containing seven watches valued at $1,500 was also missing.”

“This incident is under investigation,” police said.
