2 Bloomfield Home Burglaries Reported In 1 Day: Police

Burglaries were reported on James Street and Watsessing Avenue, Bloomfield police say.

Bloomfield, NJ – Two home burglaries were reported in Bloomfield in one day earlier this month, police say.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, a residential burglary was reported on James Street on April 13. Police said that the burglary took place between 9:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The resident discovered their front door kicked in, police said.

According to authorities, numerous pieces of jewelry and a $50 gold coin were found to be missing.

A second burglary was reported on April 13 at a Watsessing Avenue home, police say.

The homeowner discovered her front apartment door forced open and the residence ransacked, police said.

According to police, the incident took place between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Missing items included a 55-inch flat screen television and several pieces of jewelry.
