2 Bloomfield Residents Report Robberies: Bloomfield Avenue and North 15th Street

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Bloomfield residents reported a pair of recent robberies on Bloomfield Avenue and North 15th Street, police say.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, a 28-year-old man told officers that he was robbed while walking near Bloomfield Avenue and Ampere Parkway around 3 a.m. on Oct. 3.

The victim told officers that two males stole his cell phone and wallet, then got into a gray, four-door vehicle and fled the area.

No weapon was displayed and the victim wasn’t injured, police said.

NORTH 15TH STREET

Bloomfield police say that a 31-year-old female victim reported that she was robbed in front of her house on Sept. 28.

According to police, the woman told officers that she was standing in her driveway when a thin male with dreadlocks approached her, pointed a handgun at her side and demanded that she hand over her cell phone.

The man then allegedly removed keys from a nearby parked vehicle in the driveway and fled the scene on a mountain bicycle that was later recovered on Ampere Parkway, police said.
