2 Bloomfield Teens Earn Scholarships From Chamber Of Commerce
A pair of teens put their academic aptitude to the test and scored a scholarship from the Suburban Essex Chamber of Commerce Foundation.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A pair of Bloomfield teens put their academic aptitude to the test and scored a scholarship from the Suburban Essex Chamber of Commerce Foundation, the organization announced Monday.
The foundation awards a round of scholarships every year to graduating high school seniors who reside in the towns that it supports: Bloomfield, Belleville and Glen Ridge.

- Bloomfield - Daniel Keseling (The College of New Jersey), Mikaela Benkert (Montclair State University)
- Belleville - Joylyn Perez (Kean University), Malvin Gavarrett (Rutgers University)
- Glen Ridge - Mia Advensky (McGill University), Kaylie Koenig (Northeastern University)
According to the foundation, the criteria for the scholarships are based on students’ financial need, fall attendance at a college, university, or vocational school, intention to pursue a career that is business oriented and extra-curricular/community activities. The scholarship application included the recipients’ essay, GPA scores, letters of recommendation from school and the acceptance letters from the college (s) of interest.
