2 Cars Stolen In Bloomfield, Police Say: Myrtle and Broad Streets

The township was named among the 10 NJ towns with the highest car theft risks in a recent report.

Bloomfield, NJ – Bloomfield police reported that two vehicles were stolen in the township last week.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the first incident took place between 4 and 4:45 a.m. on March 2, when a 2002 Ford Econoline Van parked on Myrtle Street was allegedly stolen.

The van contained several construction tools valued at approximately $4,500, police said.

The second incident took place on March 3, when a motorist reported that their 2005 Ford F350 was stolen, police said.

Authorities stated that the truck was equipped with a red plow and salt spreader, and was last seen parked in the rear parking lot of O’Boyle Landscaping located at 1515 Broad Street.

Bloomfield saw 160 motor vehicle thefts in 2013 and 170 thefts in 2014, NJ.com stated.
