2 Robberies Reported In Bloomfield On Same Day: Police

PD: One victim sustained several cuts fighting off the robber, who wasn't able to steal anything. The other victim gave the man her purse.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A man is accused of committing two robberies in Bloomfield on the same day last week, authorities announced Thursday.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers responded to Watsessing Avenue and Berkeley Avenue and 26 Bloomfield Avenue after getting reports of robberies on March 7.

Both victims said a man got out of a white Hyundai Genesis, approached them and demanded they hand over their phones and purses.
