BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A WARN notice has been issued for hundreds of Personal-Touch Home Care employees in Bloomfield, according to the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development.

The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development's WARN notices offers protection to workers, their families and communities by requiring employers to provide notice 60 days in advance of covered plant closings and mass layoffs.

The WARN notice for the Personal-Touch Home Care location in Bloomfield affects 276 workers and will take effect on May 18, 2018, according to the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development.

Personal-Touch Home Care provides home health care personnel and related services to individuals in their homes. The company's caregivers consist of registered nurses, licensed practical/vocational nurses, licensed physical, speech and occupational therapists, medical social workers and trained paraprofessionals, its website states.

The company also operates New Jersey locations in Neptune, Union City and Roselle Park.
