3 Cars Stolen In Bloomfield: Here’s How It Happened, Cops Say

Three separate vehicle thefts were reported in Bloomfield, including one outside a local 7-Eleven, police said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Three separate vehicle thefts were recently reported in Bloomfield, including one outside a local 7-Eleven, police said.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the following incidents were reported in the township.

Nov. 19 – “An officer responded to Ella Street on a report of a motor vehicle theft. The complainant parked his vehicle in front of 80 Ella Street at 5:15 p.m. on Nov. 19. A friend arrived at his home at 6:29 p.m. and told him that his vehicle was not parked outside. The keys were in his possession and the driver side door was unlocked. The vehicle is a 2002 maroon Ford F-250 pickup, NJ registration, LB61LE. The vehicle was entered NCIC stolen.”

Nov. 23 – “An officer was dispatched to 122 Bloomfield Avenue (7-Eleven) on a report of a motor vehicle theft. The owner of the vehicle entered the establishment at 3 p.m. When she came back to her vehicle at 3:17 p.m., the vehicle was gone. The vehicle was left running with the doors unlocked. Store employee observed the vehicle traveling East on Bloomfield Avenue. The vehicle is a white four-door 2016 Honda Accord NJ registration W32GRY. The vehicle was entered NCIC stolen.”

Nov. 24 – “An officer responded to Beardsley Avenue on report of a motor vehicle theft. The vehicle owner was in the area with his realtor and steeped out of the car. He left the keys in the ignition and doors unlocked. An unknown suspect then jumped out from a grey Hyundai Sonata into his vehicle and fled west on Beardsley Avenue. The vehicle is a 2013 white Infiniti Wagon, NJ registration NBYOND. The vehicle was entered NCIC stolen.”
