3 Cars Stolen In Bloomfield, Including 2 On Same Day: Police
Vehicle thefts were reported on Dodd Street, Orange Street and the Dollar Store lot on Bloomfield Avenue, police said.
BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Three vehicles were stolen in Bloomfield last week, including two on the same day, authorities announced Tuesday.
The Bloomfield Police Department released details about each theft.
Dec. 7 – Officers responded to 135 Bloomfield Avenue (Dollar Store) after getting a report about a motor vehicle theft. The owner parked his vehicle in the lot, turned it off and took the key. Upon returning to it, he noticed it was missing. Detectives were able to review surveillance video that showed four men enter the vehicle and flee the area. The vehicle, a white 2018 Dodge Durango, was entered into the National Crime Information Center as stolen. A police investigation continues.

Dec. 7 – Officers responded to Dodd Street after getting a report about a stolen motor vehicle. The owner parked his 2013 VW Passat on Dodd Street. When he returned about 10 minutes later, the vehicle was gone. The vehicle was left running with the keys left inside. The vehicle was entered into the National Crime Information Center as stolen. A police investigation continues.
Dec. 10 – Officers responded to 165 Orange Street after getting a report about a stolen motor vehicle. The owner parked his 2021 Kia SPT at that location. When he returned, the vehicle was gone. The theft reportedly took place between 8 p.m. on Dec. 10 and 11:39 a.m. on Dec. 11. The vehicle was entered into the National Crime Information Center as stolen. A police investigation continues.
