3 Stolen Cars Reported In 2 Days, Bloomfield Police Say

Bloomfield Police Department: Recent thefts took place on Fremont Street, Berkeley Place and Bloomfield Avenue.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Vehicle thefts took place on Fremont Street, Berkeley Place and Bloomfield Avenue within a two-day span, Bloomfield police say.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, three thefts were recently reported in the township:

  • Aug. 9 – “Officers responded to Fremont Street on report of a stolen motor vehicle that occurred at an undetermined time overnight. The resident’s 2004 Jeep Liberty was parked and locked on Aug. 8. When he returned to his vehicle at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Aug. 9, he discovered it was missing. The vehicle was entered NCIC stolen. This investigation is ongoing.”
  • Aug. 9 – “Officers responded to Berkeley Place on report of a motor vehicle theft. The resident’s black 1998 Jeep Cherokee was parked and locked on Aug. 8. When she returned to her vehicle at approximately 5:43 a.m. on Aug. 9, she discovered it was missing. The vehicle was entered NCIC stolen. This investigation is ongoing.”
  • Aug. 10 – “Officers responded to 176 Bloomfield Avenue (Tacos Los Gueros) on report of a motor vehicle theft. The victim’s blue 2016 Land Rover was in the parking lot with the keys left inside at 7:10 p.m. When he returned to his vehicle a few minutes later, he discovered it was missing. The vehicle was entered NCIC stolen. This investigation is ongoing.”
