3 Vehicles Reported Stolen In Bloomfield, Police Say

Bloomfield Police: Vehicles were stolen on Franklin Street, Park Avenue and Newark Avenue.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Vehicles were recently reported stolen on Franklin Street, Park Avenue and Newark Avenue in Bloomfield, police say.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department:

Oct. 12 – Officers responded to Franklin Street after getting a report about a motor vehicle theft. The victim said she parked her black 1999 Jeep in a reserved parking space around 5 p.m. on Oct. 12. When she returned at about 9:10 p.m. that same evening, she discovered it was missing. The vehicle was entered NCIC stolen. This incident is under investigation.

Oct. 16 – Officers responded to Park Avenue after getting a report about a stolen motor vehicle. The owner said he parked his white 2012 Nissan Rogue in his designated parking space sometime in the afternoon on Oct. 15. When he returned to his vehicle the next morning around 9 a.m., he noticed it was gone. A neighbor observed his vehicle there around 7:23 p.m. the evening of Oct. 15, and the building’s video surveillance availability is pending. The vehicle was entered NCIC stolen. The investigation is ongoing.

Oct. 17 – Officers responded to Newark Avenue after getting a report about a stolen motor vehicle. A resident said he left his red 2017 Nissan Maxima running while he spoke to a friend. He then noticed a tall man enter his vehicle and drive off traveling north on Newark Avenue towards Belleville. Inside the vehicle was the owners’ wallet and $2,500 in cash. An investigation is ongoing.
