4 Juveniles Apprehended After Trying To Enter Cars In Bloomfield: PD

Undercover Bloomfield officers chased down several juveniles after seeing them trying to enter cars on Bloomfield Avenue, police said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Undercover Bloomfield police officers apprehended several juveniles after they saw them trying to enter vehicles in the township earlier this week, authorities said.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the undercover officers were on the 200-block of Bloomfield Avenue on July 3, when they saw seven juvenile males attempting to gain entry into vehicles.

The officers approached the juveniles, who then took off running. After a foot chase, four of the fleeing juveniles were apprehended, police said.

Two of the apprehended youths had “several bags of heroin” in their possession, authorities said.

The four juveniles were “charged accordingly” and released to their guardians, police said.
