Accused Burglar Arrested In Bloomfield, Caught With Rock In Hand: PD
A Bloomfield resident heard a loud noise and glass breaking. Here's what happened next, police said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Police recently arrested a Passaic County resident after he entered two homes in Bloomfield, authorities said.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers responded to the area of Morley Lane on Aug. 16 after getting a report about a burglary.
A resident heard a loud noise and glass breaking, then saw a man hunched over holding an item in his hand. The man dropped the item – later discovered to be a rock – and fled through the front door of the residence, police said.

The man then entered another home in the area of Morley Lane, but fled the scene after a resident confronted him, police said.
Officers located the suspect – later identified as Henry Smith, 33, of Paterson – and arrested him. He was transported to headquarters to be processed accordingly, police said.
