BLOOMFIELD, NJ — The Brookdale in Bloomfield will be closing its doors this weekend, the restaurant announced Wednesday.
The modern American eatery is located at 1099 Broad Street, and has been cooking up favorites such as the Steak Sammy, St. Louis Ribs, and mac and cheese since opening in Bloomfield. Now – after nearly six “unforgettable” years – its owners have made the difficult decision to close down.
The restaurant posted a message about the closure on social media:
“This place has meant so much more to us than just a restaurant. It's been filled with memories, late nights, celebrations, and a real sense of community that we'll never forget. We're incredibly grateful to every single person who supported us, walked through our doors, and made The Brookdale what it became. And to our staff, past and present, thank you for everything you put into this place. You were the heart of it.”
The Brookdale will be open through the week. Its final day of service will be Sunday, April 19.
