BLOOMFIELD, NJ — The Bloomfield Police Department held an award and promotional ceremony for high-achieving officers on Tuesday evening at Bloomfield Middle School.
During the ceremony, Ian Brundage and Luca Piscitelli were promoted to the rank of captain. Salvatore Cordi, Jennifer Horn, and Raymond Diaz were promoted to the rank of lieutenant. Edward Ratliff, Joseph Condio III, Darwin Rubio, Michael Malia, and Matthew Rubbinaccio were promoted to the rank of sergeant.
In addition, several members of the department received awards for exceptional police service.
Bloomfield Police Chief George Ricci and Mayor Jenny Mundell each congratulated the officers on a job well done.
“It is an honor to recognize our officers who have gone beyond the call of duty,” Ricci said.
“Our officers work diligently to protect the public, and this event acknowledges that dedication,” Ricci said. “As we welcome new ranking officers, I am proud of their achievements. Earning a rank is a very challenging process, and these supervisors are ready for the next step in their careers.”
Mundell said the promotions represent years of “hard work, leadership and commitment to serving the residents of Bloomfield.”
“We are proud to honor the officers receiving awards for exceptional service and grateful for the dedication shown by every member of the Bloomfield Police Department each day,” Mundell said.
