BLOOMFIELD, NJ — The Bloomfield Youth Band recently earned a congratulations for 40 years of community service and “musical excellence” at a town council meeting.
During Monday night's meeting, Mayor Jenny Mundell and the township council presented a proclamation recognizing the band's 40th anniversary and its lasting impact on the Bloomfield community.
Founded in 1986 by Patrick Burns, the ensemble has enriched the cultural life of Bloomfield for generations, providing performance opportunities and music education for countless young musicians, officials said.
“We are proud to recognize this remarkable milestone and thank Patrick Burns and every member, past and present, for their contributions to our community,” the township stated.
